Aki taught the basics of form and unique aspects of katsugi okedo (the light okedo carried on a shoulder sling), followed by a practice drill suitable for group skill development.

Taiyo Onoda of Kodo taught rudimentary drills from the Kodo apprentice center, and Kodo's process when learning pieces, using a Kodo piece (Zoku) as an example. Drills were practiced on chudaiko (standard medium-sized taiko).
